The one-day NVQ in Bricklaying, officially known as the Experienced Worker Practical Assessment (EWPA), is designed for skilled tradespeople with over five years of experience in bricklaying. It provides the fastest and most efficient route to achieving your NVQ Level 2 qualification, allowing you to obtain your Blue CSCS card.

You will complete the qualification in three straightforward steps:
Employer Witness Statement
Your employer or contractor must provide a signed witness statement ahead of your assessment day. These documents will be emailed to you for digital completion and return..png?updated=1751978559)
Practical Assessment
Attend a practical assessment at our Assessment Centre, lasting 6–8 hours.
Materials Provided: We supply all necessary materials.
Bring Your Own: You must bring your own tools, PPE, and a packed lunch.
You will need to follow a drawing on the day to complete an assessment piece based on your trade

Photographs & Professional Discussion
Bring digital photographs of your recent site work to discuss with your assessor at the training centre.
Once you have successfully completed the day, your NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Bricklaying will be awarded by NOCN within seven working days. Your certificate will be emailed to you and can be immediately used to apply for your Blue CSCS card, helping you progress in your career without delays.

I had initially contacted a company a lot closer to me but because Craig was so responsive and informative i decided to go with them. On the day of training our assessor David was equally as good. Although it was a test environment he was extremely helpful and managed to make you feel completely at ease. I had nothing but a positive experience. Highly recommend!

I completed the EWPA Carpentry Level 2. It was carried out in one day plus taking a few photos and filling in some forms. The forms were pretty straightforward and Craig also offered some advice filling them in. The practical test was carried out with just myself and one other carpenter. We weren't in a rush to finish the little stud wall and chatted our way through the day. David the assessor was down to earth and helpful. I've received my certificate from Multi Trades 3 days after completion. So I will now call CSCS and get my blue card.

I recently had to do a EWPA to gain a level 2 NVQ in bricklaying due to the changes in the cscs card system. I would highly recommend to anyone in the same situation to do the course with mttraining, the course is well organised and the instructor Ryan was great guy and thanks to Craig who was very helpful with the organising of the whole thing.
